About Always Well Within

Hello! Welcome to my island of sanity and serenity. I’m Sandra Pawula - writer, mindfulness teacher, and advocate of ease.  I'm so happy you're here.


I created this space for deep-thinking, heart-centered spirits who seek greater ease - mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Each week, I share inspiration, skillful means, and simple wisdom to help you:

  • Calm your mind, live mindfully, and enjoy the present moment.
  • Ease your heart by transforming unhelpful emotional patterns and healing your emotional pain.
  • Listen to and honor your inner voice, intuition, and innate wisdom—your true self.
  • Increase your self-love, self-esteem, and self-worth, and extend your love to others as well.
  • Set your boundaries, trust yourself, and step into your power.
  • Live with less stress and more ease.
  • Move through obstacles with grace.
  • Be part of creating a more harmonious world.

This is not a light-weight or quick-fix blog.  My aim is to help you go to the root of your challenges.  And I like to ask thought-provoking questions.  But, we don't have to be too serious either.  We can bring a sense of joy along on our inner journey.

I've made a special effort to create an ambiance of simplicity, serenity, and beauty at Always Well Within - a refuge from the busyness, stress, and overwhelm of modern life.  A place where you can journey within and learn to transform your mind and heart, whether you're bothered by minor irritations or want to address your greatest challenges.

About Sandra

My background includes working as an executive director for non-profit organizations, fundraising consultant, and freelance copywriter.  I've also taught online classes on mindfulness, meditation, loving-kindness, and the essentials of Buddhism for more than 10 years.

Now, I write about personal and spiritual development, and offer online courses on mindfulness-based stress reduction and loving-kindness practice.

I live on a small farm in Hawai'i with my two cats, Chitta and Tara.  I love nature, permaculture, meditating, writing, and soaking in the nearby lava-heated warm pond.

I've had the good fortune to receive teachings from some of the greatest spiritual masters of our time.  I've been studying and practicing Buddhism for more than 25 years - which is all about working with your own mind to transform limiting beliefs, dissolve difficult emotions, and actualize your full potential.

Successes and Challenges - Some of my successes include raising millions of dollars for good causes, managing mega-events including public programs with the Dalai Lama, and completing a three-year meditation retreat. Post-traumatic stress, over-working, and chronic illness have been some of the big challenges in my life as well as important teachers.  I'm a highly sensitive person (HSP) and an INFJ on the Jung Typology Test.  

Discovering An Inner Spring of Happiness and Freedom - Through working with my own life challenges and applying the skillful means and wisdom I've learned from my teachers, I've reconnected with my own inner wisdom.  My wish is to pass on the inspiration, methods, and wisdom that I have received and my own insights so you too can live fully with more confidence and ease. 

I’m not perfect.  I’m just like you with both strengths and weakness and my own day-to-day struggles.  But I've changed and so can you.  Close friends say I've become lighter, softer, and happier; more joyful, accepting, patient, and heart-felt.  

Whatever your personal story might be, mental, emotional, and spiritual ease is within your reach.  They are your very essence and your birthright.  I'm here to support you as you journey closer and closer to your true self.
