Welcome to my island of sanity and serenity. I'm Sandra Pawula - writer, mindfulness teacher and advocate of ease. I help deep thinking, heart-centered people find greater ease — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Curious? Read On!
Loving- Kindness is a simple yet powerful practice that can help you dissolve guilt, low-self esteem, and self-contempt and connect with deep self-worth in their place. The practice shows you how to love yourself in a healthy way and will soften your heart so kindness towards others naturally flows forth.
If you struggle with self-esteem, self-doubt, or self-confidence—all of which have become epidemic issues in our times, even for successful people—a lack of self-love could be the underlying issue. And learning to love yourself could be the single medicine that heals all.
Like most people though, you may bristle at the thought of self-love and reject it out of hand as unnecessary, self-centered, or soppy. Why? Because women are conditioned to think of others, from early on in life, and men are conditioned to repress their feelings. Few of us are taught to honor, love, and respect ourselves.
But consider this:
Research shows that the practice of Loving-Kindness can increase your ..positive emotions and sense of connection with others, lessen self-criticism, and increase empathy and compassion.
On a physical level, loving-kindness has been shown to decrease migraines, chronic pain, and PTSD for a significant number of people.
The relaxing effect of Loving-Kindness practice can serve as an antidote to everyday stress as well.
In truth, self-love isn't a luxury. It's a requirement for a happy and healthy life. Just like you need sunshine and the right mix of nutrients, you need to honor and love yourself to fully blossom.
"I loved this course and plan to continue practicing for some time to come. It's so beautifully created and felt like a balm to my heart." - Lily
Loving-Kindness is a simple yet powerful practice, which can be done in short, quiet sessions and during daily life as well. Even 10-minute sessions have been proven to be beneficial when practiced regularly.
Open Your Heart to You, A Journey of Loving Kindness is a short, self-directed course that will help you:
Get in touch with the love that already resides within you.
Dissolve guilt, low-self esteem, and self-contempt and connect with deep self-worth in their place.
Quiet your inner-critic.
Heal deep emotional wounds.
Feel more confident.
Shine love on your shadow sides.
Love yourself in a healthy way without becoming self-obsessed.
Soften your heart so love for others naturally flows forth.
The lessons in this course center around three potent Loving-Kindness phrases that have been used effectively since ancient times to evoke love. When practiced regularly, they engage your unconscious mind and gradually release your visible and invisible blocks to self-kindness
The practice of Loving-Kindness comes from the Buddha, but the method is universal and relevant for anyone who wishes to feel more kindness toward themselves and others.
If you feel hesitant, remember real self-love is not just giving yourself a few treats now and then. It’s fully hearing, knowing, and accepting yourself completely. No one else can do that for you.
I loved the practice and cried when I felt unconditional love. The 10 minutes went by so fast - I could not believe it when it was over. - Donna

You deserve your own love. There’s no one in this world more or less deserving of love than you. When you learn to love yourself you’ll feel happier, more confident, and more complete. The invisible line between you and others will dissolve, and you’ll naturally feel kindness towards others.
I felt I had wrapped myself in a blanket safe and warm on my first meditation following your guidance. - Pola
